Sydney hosts 71st Skål Congress

Over the coming days, the Skål International Congress will be held in the beautiful city of Sydney from October 7-12.

SYDNEY - Over the coming days, the Skål International Congress will be held in the beautiful city of Sydney from October 7-12. Nik Racic, president of Skål International and director of the Croatian Convention and Incentive Bureau, said that he could confidently state that Sydney would be the center of world tourism during these days when his presidential message, “Living the true spirit of Skål,” will be at the forefront.

He wanted to thank Russell Butler, sales manager, Avis Australia, in his capacity as president of Skål International Australia and president of the Congress organizing committee; Bob Lunnon, sales director of Starwood Hotels & Resorts and president of Skål International Sydney; the organizing committee; the sponsors; and other Australian institutions on behalf of his executive committee and all Skål members for their great efforts, professionalism, and enthusiasm in order to make the congress an overwhelming success.

There will be more than 550 participants from approximately 50 countries experiencing the friendship and hospitality of Australian Skålleagues.

Skål is a professional organization of tourism leaders around the world, promoting global tourism and friendship. It is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry. Its members, the industry's managers and executives, meet at local, national, regional, and international levels to discuss and pursue topics of common interest.
